Oh my, what a portrait (self-portrait?). Dark, disturbing, symbolic and beautiful, like many of your photographs.

It was a bit shocking to learn that you decided to leave shutter. I don't know what your expectations are in terms of comments. No doubt, your works deserve much more views and comments. Personally, I enjoy your work very much. I think your photography is one of the best in shutter. If you really decide to leave, I'll respect you decision, and will follow you to other sites. I can't stand Flickr, but I'll hold my nose.

Hi, Lisa. I think that there are pockets of liberal minded people on Shutterchance, just like there are pockets of liberal minded people in life. And often, I have found that if i am looking for conversations with like-minded people, I must make an effort to seek them out. Also, there are times when the comments and thoughts of people who may see things very different from me serve to expand my own thinking.

Your photographs certainly standout as far as the quality and the emotions and passion you express with them. So many of them touch me in deep and personal ways. This post is no exception. Beautifully done.

I've followed your photography for a while, although issues with illness have put a damper on my ability to spend too much time on Shutter.

I've been on SC for almost a year, although I am not as active as I once was, I wonder why we've never crossed paths before. I sure think we have some things in common and I would love to talk or exchange ideas about most anything.


One more thought, just as you want people to come and see your work and talk to you about the things you create as an expression of yourself, others like the same. I have found that it is give and take.
